Lockdown Extension In India till 3rd May


Lockdown extended: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the nationwide lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus will remain extended till May 3 as India can’t allow the virus to spread any further.
Detailed guidelines on lockdown will be issued tomorrow and focus would be on providing some relief to the poor class: PM Modi.
The PM said that the lockdown will be super strict till April 20 and all regions will be monitored to check whether the rules are being followed. He said that rules will be eased for areas where the lockdown is implemented properly and fewer new cases are registered till April 20, 2020.
Modi thanked the people for following the lockdown and says the sacrifices made by Indians in the last 21 days like disciplined soldiers have helped control the spread of coronavirus in India. He says that India made timely interventions and this has prevented a situation prevalent in many developed countries.
At least seven states — Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana — have already announced an extension of the lockdown till April 30.
PM Modi also assured people of the country that, ”we have enough stock of medicines and ration. Hurdles in the supply chain are constantly been addressed. We are also moving forward rapidly in the field of health infrastructure. In addition to this, “Keeping in mind the livelihoods of our poor brothers and sisters, provision of limited relaxations in identified places from 20th April has been made.
“In case of any positive development in any particular area or district, we can give a conditional concession from April 20. In case of any violation, development of any new hotspots, those concessions will be rolled back in those areas.” “Till 20th April, all districts, localities, states will be closely monitored, as to how strictly they are implementing norms. States which will not let hotspots increase, they could be allowed to let some important activities resume, but with certain conditions,” added PM Modi.

Also, PM Modi addressed 7 important things to follow on strictly basis:
  • Look after the elderly person at home especially those who already have medical issues.
  • Maintain social distancing at home and wear homemade masks.
  • To enhance internal immunity use guidelines by Ayush Ministry. e.g. use of hot water in drinkings and all.
  • Download the Aarogya Setu Mobile app and aware of everyone in your friend circle.
  • Help the needy people by giving them food and all.
  • No need to fire people from work industries and show compassion among colleagues.
  • Respect and show the honor to hard workers of our society i.e. policemen, doctors, nurses and sanitation workers. 
PM Modi also motivated the Indian scientists and doctors that to come forward and help us to make the anti-dot of this harmful COVID-19.
